The Children Education Society (CHESO) was found in 2005 by parents
and caregivers of school aged children who had not accessed or dropped
from primary or secondary schools for lack of education needs, diseases
and violations of their rights. In 2006, the Founders registered CHESO
under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act No. 24 of 2002. CHESO is
permitted to operate across Tanzania mainland.
